hello from:: leuven & brussels, belgium.

leuven :: a small student based city with over 20 friteries selling pomme frites - hot french fries smothered in mayo and curried ketchup & handed out in a paper cone with a simple two pronged fork to manage it all; light belgian waffles served with fresh strawberries and icing sugar; trappist beer ; & afternoon explorations leading to naps in the shade beneath local castles.

brussels :: tourist stops; fine lace & porcelain; lost in beautiful narrow alleys; & purchased fancy chocolates from pierre marcolini . all of which melted into a happy puddled mess after sitting in the afternoon with a hoegaarden.

p.s. i have a new found love for the german mitfahrgelegenheit . sustainable car sharing at its finest. with one simple post, weekend travelers & daily commuters are able to fill their car to full capacity on their otherwise solo journey.
